About Me

I'm Charlotte , I design and hand craft jewellery in York , UK.

I make unique , everyday wear and statement pieces using predominantly silver and turquoise.

Using traditional silversmith techniques , I pride myself in using recycled sterling silver and ethically sourced stones.

I was always interested in jewellery and I started my journey into metal smithing in 2011.

First, I attended a local jewellery school and in 2012 I got a place at Leeds University of Arts , where I dived into a BA Honours in Art & Design Interdisciplinary.

As well as offering me the facilities to begin craft discipline , the conceptual nature of the course allowed me to explore our relationship with 'objects' and I became fascinated by how jewellery takes on a whole new narrative once it has left the maker and found its owner. It is with the wearer where the piece becomes charged with emotion and steeped in meaning and memory.

Ten years on from leaving university , I now work from my home studio making beautiful silver jewellery that you and your loved ones can cherish for years to come.
